    • I am making an assumption that this family, listed in the 1850 Federal Census at Becket, Berkshire Co., MA, belongs to this particular William, son of John & Sarah, because the age is right and he is living near them.

      In the 1855 MA Census, the family is still at Becket: William E. Remington 44 farmer MA, Rob[?] F. 39 NY, Leverett 19 MA, George F. 18 MA, Orlina 11 MA, Fanny C. 5 MA, and Franklin C. 1 MA.

      In the Federal Census of 1860, the family is living at Hillsdale, Columbia Co., NY. The household consists of: William 49, Roby 43, Swutt C. (?) 24, Orlina M. 16, Fanny C. 9, & Charles F. 6; all b MA.

      In the 1870 Federal Census, William E. Remington, age 58 b. MA, Roby F., 53 NY, with son Charles F., 16 NY, are living at Pharsalia, Chenango Co., New York.

      I don't know if the two younger children belong to the first wife or the second. (this family needs more research)
