Notes - Anthony & Wealtha migrated from Ohio to Pike Co., Illinois, in 1835 (according to Wealtha's obituary). They stayed there, on the upland between the Illinois and Mississippi rivers, for fifteen years. In 1850 they settled in Stark Co., Illinois. For one year they lived in Council Bluffs, Iowa, but then they returned to Illinois.
In the 1850 Federal Census, Anthony & Weltha are living in Stark Co., IL, with their 8 children. In the 1860 Federal Census, the family is living at Clover, Henry Co., IL, with six children.
In the 1870 Federal Census, Ant & Wealthy A. Remington, ages 62 & 59, are living at Essex, Stark Co., IL. With them are Hervey 26, Adaline 19, & Jeannette 14. Next door is son Alpheus and family.
In 1880, Anthony & Wealthy A. Remington at West Jersey, Stark Co., IL, with their daughter Sarah Ham, her husband John, and their five children. Also in the household is a niece, Wealthy A. Remington, age 19. However, it seems to me that she must be the daughter of Alpheus, meaning that she is really Sarah's niece.
According to Wealtha's obituary, she and Anthony had 15 children.
