    • In the 1870 Federal Census, Alice Remington is age 40, a tailoress, living at New Bedford with her mother and two sisters.

      According to the marriage record at New Bedford, Alice was 47 when she married George. That gives her a birth of c1828. The marriage record gives her middle initial as G, and I am making an assumption that it is Grinnell.
