      The name of ELIPHALET is found as a son of David in the Bible in 2nd Samuel-5: 16 and 1st Chronicles, Chapter 14, verse 7.

      After the death of his first wife, Eliphalet was left a widower with a large family of very young children, and he married again 2 Oct 1788 Silence Rumril who died 16 Oct 1839 at age 71 years. Eliphalet King was a Revolutionary pensioner. He died in West Springfield, MA, after a long and painful illness in which he suffered greatly.

      Eliphalet King had 9 children by his first wife and 7 by his second wife.
