    • In the 1850 Federal Census, Thomas & Mary are at Suffield, Hartford Co., CT. He is 32 and she is 43. They have two children: Jane & Dexter, ages 9 & 5. In the 1860 Federal Census they are still at Suffield.

      In 1860 they are still at Suffield: Thomas Remington 42, Mary 52, Jane M. 17, & Dexter F. 14. Two farm laborers are boarding with them.

      By 1870 their son Dexter is married and has a son George, age 2. George and his new family are living with Thomas & Mary. Also in the household is Sybil Fuller, age 65, probably a relative of Mary's; several farm laborers are also living there.
