    • According to descendant Ward J. Roylance, Jerome Napoleon was named for Napoleon Bonaparte of France and his brother Jerome. Napoleon and his various family members were popular in America during this time, and many parents named their children after Napoleon, his brothers Jerome and Joseph, and his wife Maria.

      Jerome Remington suffered from asthma and therefore had ill health at various time during his life.

      Both orphaned, Jerome Remington & Lydia Badger migrated to Nebraska from Nauvoo, IL. They were married in NE and lived as pioneers there, later migrating to Utah in 1849/50.

      In the 1850 Federal Census, Jerome & Lydia are living at Great Salt Lake, Utah Territory. They moved to Paradise, UT, in the fall of 1860.

      All individuals in this family group -- except those who died prior to 1880 -- have been located on the 1880 Federal Census.
