    • I am making an assumption that this particular Charles is the Charles Remington, age 24 b. NY, in the 1850 Federal Census at Hillsdale, MI. He is a student of medicine.

      He is probably also the Charles Remington, physician, in the 1870 Federal Census at Quincy, Branch Co., MI. He is married and has three children. In the 1880 Federal Census, they are at Stevens Point, Portage Co., WI.
