    • In the 1850 Federal Census, George appears to be age 53 and living with Francis M. Toby and family in Easton, Washington Co., NY, near John Remington, age 56, and several of his family members. John is probably his brother (my assumption only). In the 1860 Federal Census, George is age 64 and still living with the Tobey/Toby family in Easton.

      George and John Remington were in the war of 1812, listed with soldiers from Easton, NY, 156th NY Infantry, 16th Brigade of the 10th Division.
