- I am not sure if this is the correct Captain John Sprague who was the husband of Lydia and the father of Cynthia. There is not another one in the cemetery database. Records show that Cynthia was born between 1819 and 1821 (to Capt. John & Lydia A. Sprague), but supposedly this Capt. John Sprague d.1817. Perhaps there was a misread of his gravestone, as it is in a very old cemetery.
