    • In the 1850 Federal Census, Silas & Louisa ("Lovica") are living at Wheatland, Monroe Co., NY, with their children Sarah 17 & Silas H. 10. Silas, age 44 b. VT, is a manufacturer, and his property is valued at $600. They are living a few doors down from his brother William and family. Next door is Jerusha Allen and her family; I believe she is a sister of William and Silas.

      In 1860 the family is still at Wheatland: Silas 52 VT woolen manufacturer, Lovica 53 NY weaver, Sarah E. 27 NY teacher, and Silas H. 19 laborer.

      In the Federal Census of 1870, "Sylas" & "Lavina" both aged 63 are still living at Wheatland, NY. With them is Elvira, 21.
