Notes
Unfortunately, this couple was divorced in 1805. The following notes are from "Elder John Gorton and the Six Principle Baptist Church of East Greenwich, RI" by Cherry Fletcher Bamberg, pub. RI Genealogical Society, p. 370:
"Samuel & Almy registered the births of six children at Warwick 1791-1801 . . . 'Amey' Remington petitioned for divorce in Oct. 1805, alleging that her husband 'has left her Bed and has treated her with marked aversion and even contempt' after he became involved in an adulterous affair . . . They agreed that Samuel was to have custody of all but the youngest child . . . John Remington was less than six months old at the time of the divorce . . . 'Amey Remington' was living at Manlius, Onondaga Co., NY, on 18 Jan 1836 when she sold land inherited from Josiah Arnold."

Hiram Smith - Frances Remington, in the church
Also:
Smith, Hiram to Frances Remington, June 30, 1833 in Christ Church Manlius by Rev. Algernon S. Hollister.
I am assuming that Frances and Fannie are one and the same individual. According to the 1850 census, Frances Smith was born c. 1803 in RI. However, this could be off a couple of years.
