    • According to the 1880 Federal Census data, Elmira's parents were both born in Kentucky. The 1900 census says they were born in TN & IL, while the 1910 census says her parents were born in KY & IL (although this information is on the line for her husband's name; the data was switched). The 1920 census says her parents were both born in IL.

      In 1920, Elmira D. Remington is age 71 and widowed, living with her son Frederick O. Remington and his three sons at Kearney, Buffalo Co., NE.
