    • In the 1850 Federal Census, Jesse & Patty are living at Starksborough, Addison Co., VT. They have three children in the household: Eunice, Loyal, & Joel. I think the two older children are biological children of Joel, Patty's first husband and brother of her second. They are near to Sydnia (?) & Lorinda Sayles and family, possibly related to Patty. This household includes Polly Sayles, 80 RI.

      In 1860, Jesse & Martha are still at Starksborough, with son Joel, 15.

      One online genealogy has his date of death as 8 March 1875 at Huntington, VT. I have not been able to find him in the 1870 census.
