    • In the 1841 census, Robert is living with his parents at 10 Bancroft Lane, Mansfield. It appears that five of his children are in the household, along with a possible wife, Ann -- however, further research suggests that Ann is his sister and that one of the children, Charles, is an infant belonging to Ann.

      By 1861 he has remarried and has a wife named Eliza, plus four more children. They are living at 38 Club Square, Mansfield.
