Roger came to Malden, MA, by 1661, and was made a freeman in 1672. He and his family moved to Swansea, MA, by 1678; he is listed as a proprietor of Sowams prior to 1680 (Sowams is now within the boundaries of Barrington, RI). Town meeting notes show that Roger was due L18 for having built a frame house for Rev. John Miles, first pastor of the Baptist Church there. Roger is listed as having fought at Mt.
