In the household is Joseph Fish, 21, a miner; and George Borden, age 12, mentioned in the 1848 will of Rachel's husband as "George Washington Borden who now lives with me." They are living next to John & Judith Manchester and family; probably John is Rachel's brother. On the other side of Rachel is Peace (Bennett) Hambly and family (she is aunt our ancestor Mary Ann Hambly who married Ben Remington).
