Notes - The 1900 Federal Census gives Julius's date of birth as Feb 1862, but that must be incorrect, because in the 1860 Federal Census, Julius is already age 1, living with his parents at Chocolay, MI. It is possible that he died and another son was born and given the same name. However, since his wife was born in 1855 and they were married c1879 (oldest daughter born 1880), it seems more likely that he was actually born 1858-1859, and is the same individual listed in the 1860 census.
In 1900, the family is living on North Fifth Street, Ward 5, Marquette, Marquette Co., MI: Julius 38, Anna 40, William 15, Lillie 11, Jesse 8, & Virginia 5. A boarder is also in the household -- Arthur Lemieux, age 8.
In the Federal Census of 1910, Julius Remington is a widower age 52, boarding at Marquette, Marquette Co., MI. At least three of his children are living at Chocolay, MI.
In 1930, Julius Remington is an inmate at the Marquette County Infirmery.
