• Notes

  According to the 1880 census data, Ida's parents were born in Russia. In the 1920 Federal Census, she and her second husband Joseph Porier are living at Portage, Houghton Co., MI. Four of her children are with them -- William, Weslie, Ralph, & Marie. Her name is sometimes given as Ida Snyder. The marriage certificate says Snyder. I have seen a copy of Ida Porier's death certificate.
