In 1900 they are still at Huntington, VT: Samuel 57 (b Apr 1843), Ansurilla 56 (b Nov 1843), Adeline M. 21 (b Aug 1878), & Grace I. 12 (b Nov 1887).
According to descendant Gretchen Paulsen, Samuel fought in the Civil War, and went westward to pan for gold. Tragically, a couple of weeks after his wife died, Samuel was kicked in the head by a horse and also died.
