  I am making an assumption that he is the Lyman Remington who married Elvira and had daughter Rhoda Elvira, b 11 Nov 1845 at Granville, MA. This seems likely, since his family was in that geographical area. According to the marriage records, Lyman was of Hartland, CT. In a land deed, Lyman identifies his mother as Rhoda Remington, so I am assuming he belongs to this particular Rhoda. According to his death records at Granville, MA, Lyman died at age 31 of consumption (tuberculosis). He died three days after his daughter was born. Sadly, she died a couple of months later; her death record is on the same page as his. Lyman's death record does not name his wife or parents.
