  The marriage record of Benjamin Elsbree & Ruth Davis identifies her parents as George & Ruth Read. Her first husband must have been a Mr. Davis. In 1850, the family is living near other Read family members. Based on their names, I think her mother may have been Ruth Hathaway. In 1860, Ruth I. Davis is age 44, a widow, living at Fall River, MA, with Abel R. Davis and family, next to Emory Davis and family. These are probably her sons by her first marriage. She is really Ruth Elsbree. In 1870 she is living next to Elizabeth Davis and family, most likely her daughter-in-law and grandchildren.
