In 1880 Napoleon is age 35 and boarding at New Britain, Hartford Co., CT. His occupation -- rule maker. He appears to be single, although the census does not specify. However, there also is a Napoleon B. Remington, age 32, listed at Tolland, Andover Co., CT. He has a wife named Almira L, 28, and a daughter Cora M. 10. They are living with Almira's parents, the Walkers. Although the names and ages are slightly different, Napoleon's occupation is similar -- works in rule and tool (civil?) shop. He could be the same person; daughter Cora M. could be Madge.
In 1900, Napoleon is age 55 and living at New Britain, Hartford Co., CT. He is married to Emma, age 37, and has three daughters. His occupation -- rule making.
In 1910 Napoleon is still at New Britain, CT. His wife Emily I. is 47. Hetty G. Kean, mother-in-law, a widow age 74, is with them.
From Jane Waterhouse: Napoleon was a private in Co. C, 8th Connecticut Volunteer Regiment during the Civil War. He was wounded at Antietam and received a small pension.
