Notes - In the 1870 Federal Census, Lyman is age 13 WI, living at Vasa, Goodhue Co., MN, with the family of Lorenzo Leavitt. His brother Arthur (probably Orthus), 20 WI, is also there.
In 1880 Lyman is age 23, living at Chicago, Cook Co., IL, with his mother Clara, age 54.
In the 1900 Federal Census, Lyman is married to Minnie and living on Ashland Street in Chicago. Their ages are given as 42 and 29. According to the census data, they have been married four years. They have two young children, Elmer 3 and Marion 1. Clara Remington 74, Lyman's mother, is with them.
In 1910 Lyman and Minnie, ages 53 and 39, are still in Chicago. They now have two more children, Evelyn & Eugene. The family is living on South Claremont Avenue. They also have a lodger with them.
In 1920 L.A. Remington is 62 and Minnie is 49. They are on Warren Avenue in Chicago. There are now five children in the household. I wonder why Eugene's name is given as W. R. or W. L. The household consists of: L.A. 62 WI, Minnie 49 IL, E.B. 22 IL, M. 20 IL, Clara 17 IL, W. L. (or W. R. ) 11 IL, & Lucile 8 IL.
