    • I have made an assumption that the Robert Dennis (b 1678, Tiverton records) who married Susannah Briggs is the Robert Dennis born 5 Nov 1677 (Portsmouth records) to Robert & Sarah Dennis. This needs more research to confirm.

      I am assuming his birth was recorded when Robert was living at Tiverton, years after the event.

      As oldest son, Robert inherited land in Monmouth, NJ, from his father in his will proved 2 Jul 1691; this land had been purchased from Jedediah Allen, young Robert's uncle. In his own will, proved 17 Feb 1729/30, Robert in turn gave "all lands in Jerseys" to sons John and Thomas.

      Robert's will is dated 29 Dec 1729, proved 17 Feb 1729/30, Tiverton. It mentions wife Susana; sons John, Thomas, & Humphrey (dec'd); dtrs Comfort (w/o Philip Taylor s/o John), Ann, Tabitha, Sarah, Elizabeth, Deborah, & Lidia (last 4 under 18).
