• Notes

  A Robert Dennis was removed from Quaker fellowship and disowned as a member on 27 Feb 1781 at Portsmouth, because he had entered on board a private vessel of war, contrary to Quaker principles of peace. I am not sure which Robert Dennis that was, but it may be this individual.
