In the Federal Census of 1870, Reuben 28 NY and his wife Julia 18 Canada are living at Elbridge, Onondaga Co., NY. They have a son, Steward, 9 months.

In the Federal Census of 1880, Reuben is 38 NY and his wife Lottie is age 35 NY. They are at Elbridge, NY. Two sons are in the household: Steward 11 NY and Reuben 1 NY. I am making an assumption that Lottie is Reuben's second wife, based on the name and age difference.

I can't find either of them in a later census, nor can I find the young Reuben. Sadly, Stewart is a prisoner in 1900.
