  ARNOLD Jonathan, Esq., at Smithfield, in 90th year, many years a member of the General Assembly. Gazette of Dec. 31, 1796. Jonathan's will was proved 7 Feb 1797, Smithfield. It mentions wife Abigail and seven children: Welcome, Jonathan, Aza, Thomas, Marcy Dexter (widow), Elizabeth (w/o Samuel Arnold), and Abigail Arnold. He may have been s/o Thomas Arnold and Elizabeth Burlingame (see elsewhere on this tree). Some of the chilidren's births were recorded; I have estimated the birth years of the others.
