Notes - John's will does not mention his wife, but a wife named Elizabeth is in a deed dated 9 June 1744, Exeter. She may have been a second wife -- not known, as she must have died before he wrote his will, dated 7 Nov 1749 (proved 13 Mar 1753). It mentions six sons and one daughter, all of whom I have listed on the tree.
I have roughly estimated the birth years of their children.
Some online family trees have the name of John's wife as Lydia Armstrong. One tree notes that John & Lydia deeded land to son Samuel in 1738 (where? possibly NK)
I found his estimated year of birth at find-a grave.com, but this needs more research to confirm.
