    • He might be the John Clarke who married Priscilla Barker 29 Aug 1728 Newport -- but this needs more research to confirm.

      There is also a marriage of John Clerk to Abigail Coggeshall, 1 March 1721/22 Newport. This is another possibility.

      There was also a couple named John & Mary Clarke who had a son John born 1733, Newport.

      According to a family tree at Rootsweb's Worldconnect, Abigail and Mary were both wives of this Samuel. This seems to be confirmed by gravestones in the Common Buring Ground, Newport. Consequently, I am adding them to this tree. However, I still am not positive that this particular John Clark with these two wives belongs to Audley.
