    • In the 1830 census, Mary Remington is listed as head of household with four children. Researcher Katie Mills gives the name of only one of these children, Orlan. It appears there were two other sons and one daughter. See my notes below:

      In 1850, Mary Remington is age 55, living in Brutus with Philander Remington and family. I am assuming he is her son. Also there is Mary E. Remington, 28, apparently single. I am making an assumption she is a daughter.
