    Notes:

    In the 1870 Federal Census, Albert F. & Sarah M. Remington are living in Warwick, RI, next door to Albert's parents.

    In the 1880 Federal Census, Albert appears to be still living at Warwick next door to his father Benjamin and his sister Melissa (Remington) Paine and her family. Albert's age is given as 40, and his wife Sarah A.'s as 32. However, this would be an incorrect middle initial for her, and her age is off two years. For the present, I am assuming it is the same wife.

    It is possible that Albert married two women named Sarah in the 1860's, and that his wife in 1870 was not Sarah M. (Collins) Remington. The RI Marriage Index lists a marriage for Albert F. Remington to Sarah I. Spencer on 28 Aug 1865. This could be his second marriage. However, since there seem to be several Albert Remingtons in Rhode Island at this time, it may be a different Albert.

    Henry & Annie apparently are newlyweds in the 1880 Federal Census at Providence, RI. In the 1920 Federal Census, Henry L. Remington is age 61, living in Santa Cruz, Santa Cruz Co., CA. His (second) wife Martha is 48, and their two daughters are 16 & 14. In the 1930 Federal Census, Henry L. Remington is age 72, and still is living at Santa Cruz, CA. His wife Martha B. Remington is age 58, and daughter Phoebe H. is 26. Mother and daughter are both nurses.

    Henry's son, Henry Jr., is also living in Santa Cruz, CA, in the 1920 census. He is married to Etta.
