    In 1870 Stephen is 52 and Emeline is 46. Their four children are still with them: Albert M. 26, Ella E. 23, John 21, & Charles T. 16. Also in the household is Ellen S. Remington, 21, b. MA. I am guessing that she is Albert's wife, although that is not stated. Alfred Bear, age 11, is also living with the family. Stephen and sons Albert & John are all wagon makers.

    By 1870 their son Dexter is married and has a son George, age 2. George and his new family are living with Thomas & Mary. Also in the household is Sybil Fuller, age 65, probably a relative of Mary's; several farm laborers are also living there.

    In 1860 Henry is age 32 and his wife Lorinda M. is 30. They are in Enfield, CT, and have a son Frank E. or C., age 8. Next door is Angeline Remington, 53, who I am assuming is Henry's mother. (needs more research to confirm)

    In 1870 Henry 44 and Laurinda 40 are still living at Enfield. Their son Frank E. is 18. Also is the household is Angeline Remington, age 63.

    In 1880 Henry L. & Lorinda N. are still at Enfield, CT.

    In the 1900 census Henry L. Remington is age 73 and still at Enfield. He has a second wife, Emily F., age 60 NH.

    In the 1870 Federal Census, S. F. & Martha Remington are living at Springfield, Hampden Co., MA. There are three children in the household: Almond, Rosa B., & Harriet.

    I have made an assumption here, that the Albert M. Remington, age 36, in the 1880 Federal Census at Suffield, CT, is Albert Mason Remington, of this family. The age and location fit (but needs more research to confirm). His wife is Ellen, and infant daughter is Grace. In 1870, when newly married and he and his wife were still living with his parents and siblings, Albert was a wagon maker. In 1880 he is a painter. According to the census, Ellen's father was born in Massachusetts, and her mother in Maine.

    Albert & Ellen are buried at Woodlawn Cemetery, Suffield, CT, where his parents also are buried.

According to the census data, Sarah's father was born in CT, and her mother in Scotland. Charles's occupation is "laborer," while Sarah is "keeping house."

    In the 1920 Federal Census, Charles T. Remington is age 66 and his wife "Kate" is 63. According to census data, both of Kate's parents were born in England. I am assuming that she is Charles's second wife (needs confirmation). Charles is a tobacco farmer. In the household is daughter Ruth, 26. They are still at Suffield, CT, and are living next door to son George N. Remington and his wife Bertha, and their four children.

    In 1930 they are still at Suffield. George is 53 and Bertha is 50. According to the census data, they have been married 30 years. Their two sons, Charles 24, and George 19, are with them. The family is living next to daughter Lola Shields and her family, and a couple of doors down from son Harold and his wife Alice. Ruth Remington, age 35, George's (assumed) half-sister, is also nearby.

    In the Federal Census of 1 Jan 1920, Ruth is age 26, and living with her parents at Suffield, CT. In the Federal Census of 1 June 1930, she is age 35, boarding witn Thomas & Augusta Couch and family, nearby other Remington relatives.

    I have made an assumption that Ruth is a daughter of Kate (needs confirmation).
