September 1862 - Enlisted in the War of the Rebellion in Company H. 22nd Regiment Connecticut Volunteer Infantry, and served first as Sergeant and then as a 2nd Lieutenant the rest of his term of service which expired July 7, 1863.
February 1st 1892 he was granted a pension at the rate of $12 per month under the Invalid Pension Law that was passed by Congress at Washington, and called the Act of June 27, 1890.
December 2, 1896 - resigned his position as head of the piping department at The Pratt & Whitney Co., Hartford, CT, after working there for 22 years. He listed age and health as his reasons for resigning. Letter is signed by F. A. Pratt, President, who attests to Benjamin's industry, superior ability, and faithfulness.
1896-1902 Used General Delivery in Providence, RI, as his mailing address so the rest of his family, except for Joanna Remington and Mary Cook Levalley Lovell, would not mess in his personal affairs.7. Sarah Frances LeValley (1.Benjamin1) was born 31 Aug 1841; died 23 Jul 1876.
