    Notes:

    The marriage announcement refers to her as Mrs. Marcy Comstock, widow of Capt. Joseph. It says she married Col. John Remington, but it should have read Col. Jonathan Remington. She later died in Lansingburgh, NY, where Jonathan Remington had moved to, and where he himself later died. His brother John stayed in Adams, MA. In addition, I have found evidence that Jonathan's first wife had died, but not John's.

    Mercy married Joseph Comstock Jul 1778. Joseph (son of Samuel Comstock and Anna Brown) was born 7 Jan 1748/49; died 7 Aug 1794. [Group Sheet]

    Mercy married Jonathan REMINGTON Nov 1795, Cheshire, MA. Jonathan (son of Thomas REMINGTON, III and Abigail ELDREDGE) was born 9 Sep 1758, Warwick, RI; died 31 May 1808, Lansingburgh, Rensselaer County, NY. [Group Sheet]
