    Some genealogies have her maiden name as Corey. I obtained her name and the names of her parents from an old obituary in the Narragansett Times, 18 Sep 1803 (Simeon Whitford).

    In the Federal Census of 1910, Amy A. Whitford is a widow age 69, living at South Kingstown, RI. According to census data, she has had 13 children, all of whom are still living. In the household with her are: Mary W. 42 single, Amy T. 41 single, Lydia P. 39 single, Catherine S. 33 single, & George W. 29 single; also Moses A. Harrington, 15.

    Amy married Simeon Whitford 19 Dec 1860. Simeon (son of Amos Whitford, Jr. and Amey Whitford) was born 1 May 1829, Exeter. RI; died 22 Aug 1903; was buried , Perryville Church Cemetery, South Kingstown, RI. [Group Sheet]
