    It appears that Welcome and Patience had two sons; the older one died after the younger one was about 7 months old, so they named the second the same name -- Samuel Greene Arnold. Samuel Greene was the name of Patience's father.

    This does not make sense to me because there seems to have been an infant daughter who died the following month, Aug. Perhaps the newspapers got it wrong and one just repeated the other.
