    In the 1870 Federal Census, William G. Fish, 42 RI, and his wife Rhoda A., 39 MA, are living at New Bedford, MA. His occupation is given as "Restaurant." they are next to Nathaniel 48 & Ruth 49 Manchester.

    In 1880 William G. Fish is 53 and Rhoda A. is 44, but their ages are reversed in the census; in fact, the census taker wrote Rhoda's name above William's, and crossed out "wife" next to his. They are still at New Bedford, where William's occupation is "fruit store." They are next to Lewis G. (69?) & Sarah Manchester.

    William married Rhoda Ann Manchester 18 Sep 1853, New Bedford, Bristol Co., MA. Rhoda (daughter of Ellery Manchester and Abbie King) was born Abt 1836, New Bedford, Bristol Co., MA; died Aft 1 Jun 1880. [Group Sheet]
