According to the dates in the Remington Family book compiled by Martha A. Benns, this family had two sets of twins. Alternatively, they may be dates of baptism rather than birth.
Lippitt was an Ensign in the 3rd Cranston Company, 1763.
From Barbara Chase, a Remington descendant: "Cranston Dd Bk 2; p. 129 - 3 Nov 1769 - Lippitt Remington of Cranston 'in consideration of my mother Margaret' a tract of land belonging to father Joseph Remington deceased; lease to her during her lifetime; with house thereon . . . Cranston Dd Bk 2; p. 129 - 3 Nov 1769 - Robert Knight Jr. of Cranston assigns forever privileges of a 'Burying place' on land purchased of Lippitt Remington 'whereon his father Joseph was buried' . . . 'sd Burying place for ever to Bury their dead.' "
