  Hildreth was raised in Washington State and later settled in Illinois. He went to Wheaton College, Wheaton, IL, and later worked for the National Association of Railroads. My dad, Norman Remington, received Hildreth's address from someone in the late 1970s, after Hildreth and his wife had visited friends in Mexico and Guatemala. My dad wrote to him at that time but doesn't remember if he received a reply. I think Hildreth and his wife may have attended the Wheaton Bible Church because it was mentioned in a note that he knew of me when I was at Wheaton; however, we never met. At the time, I would not have known of our family connection, although it would have seemed likely even at the time.
