| Both Elizabeth & Simeon are buried in West Greenwich Historical Cemetery #27, on Burnt Sawmill Rd. | Case, Elizabeth (I04446)
| Both Harvey and his father Nelson served in the Civil War. Harvey entered military service Dec 1864, in the 9th Cavalry, Co. 1, at age 16. He served continuously at least 2 years and 7 months. (source: Delaware Co., NY, historical web site) In the 1880 Federal Census, Harvey & Sarah, ages 31 & 34, are living at Hamden, Delaware Co., NY. With them are their three children and Harvey's father, Nelson, age 58. | Remington, Harvey B. (I20162)
| Both Josiah Kent and his wife Elizabeth Bullock were descendants of Mayflower Pilgrim John Howland. | Kent, Josiah II (I21623)
| Both the birth record and the death record have the date May 3rd. Apparently Bridget was a twin to Richard, who also died young. | Remington, Bridget (I15885)
| Both William D. Adkins' genealogy and Boyd Scott Remington's chart say Chloe died in 1824. She was Stephen's 2nd wife. | King, Chloe (I08114)

| BOWERMAN Sarah, and John Dyer, (Int.) Dec. --, 1718. | Family F07809
| Boyd Scott Remington does not list the last three children in this family; however, they are listed in the genealogy at the Suffield Historical Society. Hannah is listed in "Thomas Remington of Suffield, CT, and Some of His Descendants." An SAR application says Hannah Remington born 25 March 1723 (no parents given) married Joseph Leavitt. The will of Hannah Leavitt mentions brother Samuel Remington as Executor, but genealogies show Samuel son of John and Hannah died in 1763, before Hannah's will was written in 1769. I wonder if that date of death is incorrect. why would she name her deceased brother as Executor? I haven't been able to find another Samuel who might have had a sister Hannah in this time frame. Suffield Historical Society: Reference Documents: 2, 8, 12, 155, 161 | Remington, John I (I03459)
| Boyd Scott Remington has her year of birth as 1834. Cause of death: cirrhosis. | Watson, Harriett M. (I08724)
| Boyd Scott Remington has his date of death as 02 October 1838 (no source noted). | Remington, Almon (I08284)
| Boyd Scott Remington has his date of death as 11 June 1817 (no documentation). | Remington, Enoch II (I04192)
| Boyd Scott Remington has John's parents as John & Sarah (Gray) Kenyon of Kingston & Westerly, RI. | Kenyon, John Jr. (I02891)
| Boyd Scott Remington has this Freelove married to David Atwood. However, there may have been another Freelove, born to Thomas & Freelove (Nichols) Remington, in 1765. I have placed David Atwood with that individual, primarily because of the dates in the RI Cemetery Database. See marriage notes for the other Freelove Remington in this family tree. | Remington, Freelove (I04082)
| Boyd Scott Remington has this Mary married to this Jonathan. However, there was another Jonathan born the same year in East Greenwich. I am not so sure she did not marry the other one. However, Newport and Jamestown are almost next to each other, separated only by a little water, so this couple is a reasonable assumption. (needs more research) Mary Remington's 16 Aug 1777 will mentions her father Benjamin Thurston, dec'd; her sister Sarah, w/o Joseph Turner; and cousin (niece) Sarah Gardner, w/o John and daughter of my sister Sarah. | Thurston, Mary (I06034)
| Boyd Scott Remington includes this son in the family group, although he does not appear in the Scituate Town Hall records that I checked. BSR includes no source documentation. It may be that BSR erroneously placed here the the John Remington born 29 July 1757, but slightly altered the birth year. However, he is listed as a son in this family group, in the Burlingame Manuscript Book I, p. 50 (at RI Historical Society Library). | Remington, John (I08928)
| Boyd Scott Remington's ancestry chart has different information for Samuel's family. He says that Samuel married Eliza H. Hutchins of Seekonk on 5 March 1840, in Hartford, CT. He lists two children: Edwin S. & Eliphalet. (no sources are noted for any of this) It is possible that the February date in Seekonk was a marriage intention, and that the marriage took place in Hartford in March. Samuel's gravestone says he died 29 Nov 1844, although I may have misread it. | Remington, Samuel Watson (I04600)
| Boyd Scott Remington's ancestry chart has her surname as Hicks. However, that was the surname of her first husband. | Long, Herodias (I04001)
| Boyd Scott Remington's ancestry chart has his name as Jonathan, in Rev.; online sources show his name as Jotham. The Federal Census of 1790 lists a Jotham Remington living at Clarendon, Rutland Co., VT. It appears that he is living by himself. | Remington, Jotham (I07669)
| Boyd Scott Remington's ancestry chart shows William born at Salem, MA. However, the 1850 census gives his birthplace as VT, which seems more likely, since his family lived there in the 1800 census. In the 1850 Federal Census, William & Deborah are living at Wheatland, Monroe Co., NY, with their three children and William's mother, Betsey. They are near William's brother Silas and family. | Remington, William R. (I08361)
| Boyd Scott Remington's chart has her date of birth as 28 Jan 1706. | Remington, Sarah (I04019)
| Boyd Scott Remington's chart has the date of marriage as 4 June 1815. However, if that is correct, Benedict would have been only 15 years old! Perhaps the 8 was misread for a 5. | Family F02116
| Boyd Scott Remington's chart places a Samuel in the family group of Joshua & Eunice Remington, but I question whether he belongs there. According to the "Oliver M. Remington Bible Records" (National DAR Records; referenced in "A Remington Family History" by Lois Remington Smith, p. C-2), Uriah & Sally Remington had a son named Samuel, so it seems more likely that these dates belong to that family. Consequently, I am assigning these dates to this particular Samuel. (My research at the Delaware Co., NY, web site and in census data seems to confirm this.) The 1810 Federal Census at Delaware Co., NY, lists him as Samuel Ramington. In the 1820 Federal Census at Meredith, Delaware Co., NY, Samuel Remington's household consists of: 3 males<10, 1 male 26 - 45 (Samuel), 2 females<10, 2 females 10-16, and 1 female 26-45 (wife). This data suggests that at that time they had two daughters (names?) born c 1805-1810, and two more daughters (probably Nancy & Lucinda) and three sons born c 1810-1820 (possibly Clark, Seba, & Wiliam). In the 1830 census, Samuel is still at Meredith. His household consists of: 1 male<5, 1 male 5<10, 2 males 15<20, 1 male 20<30, 1 male 40<50, 1 female<5, 1 female 5<10, 1 female 10<15, 1 female 20<30, 1 female 40<50, and 1 female 60<70. This suggests that the family had a son and a daughter born c 1825-1830, a son and a daughter born c 1820-1825, one daughter born c 1815-1820, two sons born c 1810-1815, one son and one daughter born c 1800-1810, in addition to Samuel and his wife (40-50), and one older woman (60-70) who may have been a mother or mother-in-law. It seems likely that the household of 1830 included Samuel's married son Seba and his wife and their young children. In the 1840 census, Samuel and Seba Remington are both listed as heads of households, probably living next to each other. Samuel's household consists of: 2 males 15-20 (Nelson and Martin?), 1 male 20-30 (possibly George, about 20 - 25), 1 male 30-40 (possibly William, about 27), 1 male 60-70 (Samuel), 1 female 10-15 (probably Delia), 1 female 15-20 (?), 2 females 20-30 (Lucinda and ?), and 1 female 50-60 (his wife). In the 1850 Federal Census, Samuel Remington (surname illegible), age 79 VT, is living at Meredith, Delaware Co., NY. In the household with him are Marcus 66 CT (female), and Delia 21 NY. Also, in the same dwelling but different family group are Linus & Nancy Bronson, ages 36? & 33?. Nancy is probably Samuel's daughter. They are all living next to William & Caroline Remington and family, and on the other side of William are Seba & Delia (should be Julia?) Remington and family. "Records of the Supervisors of the County of Delaware October 5th, 1813" transcribed by Linda Ogborn, includes notations of payments made to the town account by Daniel Remington and Samuel Remington. (source: Delaware Co., NY, historical web site) "Sam Remington" had a mill -- probably a flour mill -- in Delaware County in the 1820s. The 1850 census shows his occupation as miller. | Remington, Samuel (I07969)
| Boyd Scott Remington's chart places this son in Benedict's family, but in 1850 he is apparently with Thomas & Susan, although it is difficult to read his name. The initials are L. L., anyway, and the birth year is the same. In the 1880 Federal Census, Leverett L. & Eliza Remington, ages 33 & 35, are living in Northbridge, Worcester Co., MA. They have an 11-year-old daughter, Adaline. | Remington, Leverett L. (I05896)
| Boyd Scott Remington's chart says she was born 5 Apr 1648. I don't know what his source was. Her will mentions Jonathan Remington as her brother. | Remington, Elizabeth (2) (I02871)
| Boyd Scott Remington's Remington Ancestry Chart at RIHSL has Daniel's date of birth as 18 Feb 1706. The Suffield records show a birth to a son of Daniell & Sarah Remington: Abijah, who died at about 14 months on 8 July, no year given. He may be the Daniel Remington of Suffield who later married Mrs. Susannah Bush, widow, in 1770, as her fourth husband. | Remington, Daniel I (I08270)
