Information from Mary Currie: He died March 11, 1901 in an accident. He was hauling logs and a whiffle tree* broke and struck him in the chest just below the heart, killing him instantly. He worked for the Sturgeon River Lumber Company at Chassell, MI. According to his death certificate, Albert died at age 44 y 8 mo 10 d. However, their ages differ so much in the censuses. Also, the 1900 census says Charles & Cordie have been married 15 years, which would be 1885.
