Extra Information: Mansfield |Chronicle Advertiser; 14/06/1917: Military Funeral at Mansfield. Sapper Horace Coleman of Chaucer Street, Mansfield funeral took place at Nottingham Road Mansfield. One of the first volunteers from Mansfield Colliery. He joined the Royal Engineers and served at the Battle of Arras. Horace had been invalided out of the army. This man is commemorated in a book of remembrance held by Mansfield District Council.

The death record gives her date of birth as 11 Aug 1876 at Kingston, RI; she died at age 47 y 9 m 24 d. Her name is given as Hattie Lula Lewis, residence Nooseneck Hill Rd. Cause of death was uterine cancer. The informant was her daughter, Mrs. Sherman Rockwell.
