Her son Edwin is with her. According to the census data, Mary's father was born in CT, and her mother in RI. I have made an assumption that she is the Abby HAZARD who married Jonathan Remington (see "Descendants of Roger Williams" Book III, Sayles Line, p. 286). Since one or more of her sons received the middle name Hazard, this is a reasonable assumption (needs more research to confirm). Additional evidence of her identity comes from the possibility that she may have had a sister named Mary Ann who died in infancy, after which she took her name as well as her own (Mary Ann Abby). See the family of Sylvester Gardiner Hazard & Elizabeth Greene in "The Greenes of Rhode Island with Historical Records of England Ancestors" by Louise Brownell Clarke, Knickerbocker Press, New York, NY, 1903; Compiled by Julius A. Jahnke, p. 381. Several authoritative genealogies have their daughter Abby as marrying Jonathan Remington. For more on the Hazard family, see "The Hazard family of Rhode Island, 1635-1894 : being a genealogy and history of the descendants of Thomas Hazard, with sketches" available at ancestry.com.
