Portsmouth land evidence has numerous deeds involving the Allen family and land on Prudence Island.

He may be the William Allin that was admitted a freeman of Portsmouth on 6 June 1692, along with Thomas Remington.

On 26 Apr 1738, Zachariah deeded land in Pawtuxet to his son-in-law, David Knapp of Warwick, and his wife Patience.

On 13 Apr 1741, Zachariah bought 97 acres with dwelling house in Smithfield, from Emanuel Rowse. After that he lived in Smithfield.

On 29 Dec 1741, Zachariah deeded 70 acres in Pawtuxet to John Rhodes of Warwick. The land was situated "easterly on land of my own and partly on land I gave to my son, Charles Rhodes."

On 25 May 1742, Zachariah deeded 97 acres of land in Smithfield to his daughter Elizabeth and her husband, Joseph Carpenter.

On 10 Jan 1761, Zachariah Rhodes of Smithfield and John Tucker of Warwick deeded 4 acres in Pawtuxet to Zachariah Tucker (son of John Tucker and grandson of Zachariah Rhodes).

7782 Zilpha's name as well as her husband's came to my attention through a descendant, Diana Koch.

In the Federal Census of 1880, Zilpha Payne is a widow aged 82, living on South Main Street in Woonsocket, RI. With her are Martha Payne 42 and Ellen Barnes 50, identified as her daughters. They are both dressmakers.

Martha was appointed executrix of Zilpha's estate. Her will, which names her husband and four living children (and spouses), was witnessed by Thomas Steere, Arlon Mowry, and James I. Hotchkiss.

Appointed by the Court to take inventory of Zilpha's estate were Arlon Mowry, James I. Hotchkiss, and Albert C. Smith.

According to the obituary, Zilpha's funeral took place at her late residence, 146 South Main St., Woonsocket. Rev. C. J. White officiated; pallbearers were George C. Wilder, Thomas B. Staples, Amasa Arnold, and Arlon Mowry. (Arlon is a son of Barney Mowry, 1850 census; he has Mowry and Paine ancestry; see Rootsweb's Worldconnect.)
