Notes - "William Manchester was admitted freeman of Portsmouth 9 Apr 1675 (records of the town of Portsmouth). He was one of the purchasers of Pocasset in the Plymouth Colony (now Tiverton and Little Compton, RI) in March 1679/80. He was an inhabitant at the organization of Tiverton 2 Mar 1692/93 (Tiverton T.R., vol. 1). He held numerous town offices from representative to the General Court of Massachusetts to fence viewer."
