Notes - I am making an assumption here, that Samuel belongs to this couple. He had a son named Asa, whom he possibly named after his father. However, he is not listed in the Gov. John Cranston genealogy.
I also am assuming that he is the Samuel T. Bates in the RI Cemetery Database (middle initial similar), with dates c.1801-11 Aug 1838. His wife Roby may have remarried after he died, as I can't find her grave listed in the database.
- I am making an assumption here, that Samuel belongs to this couple. He had a son named Asa, whom he possibly named after his father. However, he is not listed in the Gov. John Cranston genealogy.
