Notes - Ebenezer & Mary settled in Jamestown, RI, where he was prominent in public office. He was chosen deputy to the General Assembly in 1679, a position which he held until his death in 1715. At times he was the Speaker of the Assembly. He belonged to the society of Friends, and was referred to as "a valuable minister."
The Jamestown Proprietors Records show that Ebenezer was chosen to be one of the Town Council ("Counsell"), and was chosen Moderator of meetings of the Proprietors and Freemen several times: 1682, 1683, 1684, 1685, 1697, 1699, and 1704. He was Head Warden in 1701.
