• Notes

  In the 1880 Federal Census, the family is at Providence, RI, next door to Sarah's parents and sister. In the 1908 state elections, Louis E. Remington was a prohibition candidate for Governor. Louis E. Remington died after slipping under a train while attempting to board. One of his legs was cut off above the ankle. He was taken to the hospital, but soon died there. The RI Cemetery Database gives his birth date as 9 Jan 1846.
