Notes - According to Cherry Fletcher Bamberg in her article "Major Henry Rice of Warwick and his Family," in Rhode Island Roots Vol. XXIV, p. 1, "He was related many times over to most of the old families in town: the Arnolds, Holdens, Greenes, Staffords, and Gortons. On his father's side alone at least eighty-four cousins had been born in Kent County."
