  Notes exceprted from "Mayflower Descendants Through Five Generations" Vol. 12, p. 4 & 5: Francis Cooke and his son John (Jean, en francais) embarked on the Speedwell at Delfshaven, Holland, in July 1620. At Southampton or Plymouth, England, they transferred to the Mayflower and set sail Wednesday, 6 Sep 1620 (or, 16th Sep, new calendar). Francis was one of the signers of the Mayflower Compact on 11 Nov 1620 (21st Nov, new calendar). In late 1623 Francis Cooke received two acres with his son John, and four acres for the rest of the family, who came on the ship Anne in Aug 1623.
